Plot: Garfield (Frank Welker) lives with Jon Arbuckle (Wally Wingert) and canine Odie (Gregg Berger) in what appears to be a suburban town inhabited by cartoon characters, and regularly interacts with, in addition to Odie and Jon, Nermal, Arlene, and characters from other strips. Garfield, bored with comic life, escapes to the real world (apparently in Indianapolis) with Odie, meeting up with an alley cat named Sheky, (Berger). Unfortunately, Garfield soon finds out that the strip will be canceled if he doesn't get back in to the papers in 24 hours, and that there is no known way to return. To make matters worse, two musclebound dogs (Hale and Hardy) are slanted to take their place in papers, and they will stop at nothing to prevent Garfield and Odie's return. (wikipedia)
